This is a Repair Service of your existing Starter/Alternator module for plug-in and mild hybrid vehicles with 48V electrical architecture. This a dual-purpose module, it serves as an alternator as well as the starter motor. As an alternator it charges the 48V battery and supplies the voltage converter with 48V DC. As an electric motor it and be used as a starter and internal combustion engine booster.
Please note that Audi has released an upgraded software package for this part, refer to the Technical Service Bulletin TSB 2058831. We strongly recommend that once you install the Starter/ Alternator back into the vehicle, you have the software updated to this newest version. In most cases this should be covered under warranty and no charge to you.

Shipping notes: The module is heavy, bulky and very expensive!!! Please make sure that it is properly protected.
Quick Turnaround: Your module will be tested, repaired, tested again, and sent back to you in the same day (unless otherwise noted).
Quality Tested: All Starter /Alternator modules undergo rigorous tests on our specialized custom-built CAN-bus driven test bed. All functions, DTCs, and software are checked and verified for proper operation.

• DTC U046900 Symptom 36564 (invalid data received from starter/generator control module).
• DTC P0CA700 (hybrid battery discharge current too high static or sporadic).
• The engine will not turn over.
• No communication with Starter/ Alternator.
• A warning for the 48V electrical system is displayed in the instrument cluster.

Step 1: Purchase our service online or over the phone.
Step 2: After processing your order, we will email you pre-paid shipping labels.
Step 3: Send us your old defective unit by dropping off the package to any UPS location or call UPS to schedule a pick- up.
Step 4: We will inspect and repair your old module.
Step 5: We will send you back the repaired module the same day (unless otherwise stated).
Step 6: You install the unit back into your vehicle.
